Do You Need God's Help?

Need God’s help? First you need a relationship with God

 Covenant Relationship with God
All human effort is vain without God’s favor and favor is a function of a covenant relationship. What everyone needs basically is a covenant relationship with God. It’s the only ground to lead a successful life on earth. All human effort is vain without God’s favor and favor is a function of a covenant relationship. Any man who has obtained favor from God has ceased from labor… Psalm 127:1-2, Prov 16:3
God loves you and offer a wonderful plan for your life… John 3:16. Jesus alone can bring meaning and purpose to life.
 What keeps us from knowing God?
All are sinners and our sin has separated us from God… Isaiah 53:6; 59:1-2. The result of sin in our life is death, spiritual separation from God. Moving closer to God through our own effort, we inevitably fail.

The diagram shows the great gap that exist between us and God. The arrow show how we might try to reach God through our own efforts. Gods acceptance through a good life or a moral philosophy. But our good efforts are insufficient to cover up our sin.
 How can we bridge this gulf?
Jesus is God’s only provision for our sin. Through him we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our life. We deserve to pay for our own sin. The problem is, the payment is death. So that we should not have to die and separated from God, out of his love for us Jesus Christ died in our place…1Peter 3:18, Titus 3:5, John 3:16

 We must individually accept Jesus Christ as savior and
        Lord… John 1:12, Eph 2:8,9...
Accepting Jesus means believing that Jesus is the son of God, who he claimed to be, then inviting Him to guide and direct our lives… John 3:1-8. Jesus said “I Came that you might have life, and have it more abundantly” John 3:10. And here is Jesus invitation… Rev 3:20.
Respond to God’s invitation to see Jesus influence and direction in your life.
 Begin a relationship with Jesus
You can receive Jesus Christ right now. Remember that Jesus says “I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in”
Would you like to respond to his Invitation? Here’s how: Admit your sin, fear God by obeying His commandment and begin to live a new life in Christ Jesus… 2Cor 5:17
If you sincerely asked Jesus into your life just now, then he has come into your life as he promised. You have begun a personal relationship with God. What follows is a lifelong journey of change and growth as you get to know God better through Bible reading, prayer and interaction with other Christians.
